The last days of summer are upon us and smartphone announcements are flying from all directions. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 was the most high-profile launch, but this week saw the debut of five more handsets from five different manufacturers.

Meizu announced the M6 Note – its first Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered handset, while Yota introduced its third dualscreen phone – Yotaphone 3.

The 5A came in as the most affordable member of the Xiaomi Redmi Note family, while alcatel brought in the U5 HD. Finally Gionee brought in the X1 entry-level device.
